psychological thriller recs? already seen the basics
looking for psych thriller/mystery anime recs. already done: death note, monster, paranoia agent, erased, promised neverland (s1 only lol) want smth where the morality is ambiguous or where u realize the mc might actually be the villain. bonus if the ost slaps any hidden gems?
definitely watch Moriarty the Patriot. perfect antihero arc. also Talentless Nana — don't look it up, just watch ep 1 cold. trust me

RIGHT?? the ep1 twist is one of the best i've ever seen. keep watching it gets even better
Flowers of Evil. it's uncomfortable to watch in the best possible way. also the rotoscope animation style is divisive but i think it adds to the unsettling vibe
flowers of evil is so good but i had to pause every 20 mins cause the secondhand embarrassment was too much lmao
haha yes exactly!! it's genuinely distressing in a way most anime never achieves. that's what makes it great tho
91 Days. criminally underrated mafia revenge story. protagonist is morally grey as hell. also Re:Zero goes way darker than ppl expect, dont sleep on it

Haibane Renmei for something more philosophical and slow burn. also Texhnolyze if u want something truly bleak and experimental. fair warning for texhnolyze tho: it's brutal
