1. Acceptance

By accessing or using HappyAnime (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HappyAnime is an anime and manga discovery and tracking platform. We display metadata (titles, synopses, cover images, scores) sourced from third-party APIs (Jikan/MyAnimeList, AniList) and embed official trailers from YouTube. We do not host, stream, or provide access to copyrighted anime or manga content.

Certain features (e.g., “Find by Description”) use artificial intelligence powered by third-party providers. These features are provided on a best-effort basis and results may not always be accurate.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not create accounts for the purpose of spamming or abuse.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Intellectual Property

Anime and manga titles, artwork, and characters are the property of their respective copyright holders. HappyAnime displays cover images and metadata under fair use principles for informational and transformative purposes (discovery, tracking, rating). We comply fully with DMCA takedown requests.

The HappyAnime brand, logo, and original website code are the exclusive property of HappyAnime and may not be reproduced without permission.

5. Prohibited Uses

• Scraping or automated access to the Service without prior written permission
• Distributing copyrighted content through the Service
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Using the Service to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
• Impersonating another person or entity

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or applicable law. You may also delete your own account at any time from your profile settings.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall survive.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We are not affiliated with MyAnimeList, Crunchyroll, Funimation, AniList, or any anime or manga studio or distributor.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HappyAnime and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email.
